Babymoon is a relaxed vacation taken by expectant mother with their partner before the birth of their bundle of happiness, baby’s arrival.

It's a lovely chance for the beautiful mom to be to enjoy in a carefree and hassle-free way.

Now it has become a trend to go on vacation before the new mom gets busy with diapering and sleepless nights.

Generally, it's planned during the second trimester i.e. between 14 and 28 weeks of pregnancy.

These are generalized symptoms, it might not be for all the Pregnant women and luckily these symptoms don't show up all the nine months of pregnancy, so do take advantage of 2nd trimester where it's gets little easy and quite safer. But try avoiding long distance travel after 28 weeks as much as possible. Its suggested for yours gynecologist consultations before you plan for a travel after 28 weeks of pregnancy.

Check your Airline policies

It's advisable to check for your planned airlines pregnant flyers policies before hand and plan accordingly.

After 28 weeks, most airlines require a letter from Doctor, confirming of your fitness for the air travel. There are different restrictions for different airlines. Check with yours airline before you do tickets. If you plan to take a flight, reserve an aisle seat so can easily access the washroom. Ask and reserve for particular seats which have good legs space so that you can stretch it out properly and feel comfortable for long.

Car Travel: If you're planning for weekend getaways to a nearby place or any good resort you know, car travel is the best for you as you can pit stop anywhere you like for resting, to have snacks, to take fresh air or even for toilet. It will be really comfortable. But take care, the road is fine and the drive to be smooth enough. Secure the lap belt below your belly so that it will rest properly against your hip bones, and wear the shoulder belt across your chest and to the side of your baby bump.

Stretch along the way and try to limit your travel to 6 hours a day.

In any mode of safe travel, ensure you are properly hydrated and taking fresh fruits/food at proper intervals. Whole grain granola bars, freshly baked cakes, real fruit juices, mini dry fruits boxes, pre cut fresh seasonal fruits and sauteed veggies are good to go on a travel. Always stick to bottled water during the entire trip. Its tasty, healthy and travel friendly options at the same time.

Choosing the correct destination:

It's tempting and really romantic feel to plan a vacation with your partner.

It's will bring in a smile surely on the face of a pretty when she knows that she is going on a trip  to cherish herself, her being before she starts her journey with her baby..

At the same time, it's important to select a destination which has proper connectivity in all ways whether it's roadways, airways and even mobile and internet connectivity so that it's easy to be in touch with your Doctor, family and friends when you need them.

For safety side, plan a closer place, avoid high risk activities.

Instead, you can go on for relaxed walks, low impact swimming if you are trained only, and some breathing exercises and yoga near the beach, if it's a beach holiday.

Before the choosing the place, it's always good to check for the weather conditions and if any emergency is going on there, so that you get well prepared and back up plans in hand.

While choose destination, if it's a foreign country, check regarding any ongoing pandemic or any current health concerns there, so that you can re-plan and visit to a safer destination.

Mosquitoes are mostly disease carrying insects. Avoid mosquitoes and try to move in clean surroundings.

Dresses & Accessories:

Take eye mask, ear plugs and neck pillows while you travel. It makes the journey cozy and comfortable.

Truly pointed out, it's important to look good to feel good and it's the way around too.. Basically, your skin should feel healthy and happy. Take care of your sensitive skin by applying a good stronger sunscreen lotion than usual, more than SPF 30 is preferred.

Select dresses, accessories keeping comfort and style in mind. Get yourself loose fit tops, pajamas, knee length dresses, shirt dresses. Pair them with good slip-ons. Take caps, goggles, hats and light weighted accessories like ear rings, bracelets, headband; tiara's to go with your get up.

If you have plans for a maternity shoot, take few beautiful long gowns and matching accessories.

3. Hospital list: Relevant hospitals list to be collected prior from the embassy or tourist board

 Names, contact numbers, address, e-mail id and entire itinerary details
